  2. Latest software patches. The next step is to keep up with the latest software patches. Many computer users do not update their software, which is a big security risk.
  3. Anti- virus software It is also important to make sure your anti- virus software is always updated.
  4. Backup your computer data Finally, it is important to backup your computer data. Having a backup of your data will allow you to restore your computer if it is ever hacked or infected.
  5. Check privacy settings It’s important to periodically check your privacy settings on social media. You don’t want to be posting all your personal information to the public for everyone to see.
